Free TPS and CTPS check

Type a UK number and get the verdict from the TPS and CTPS files we hold under licence, refreshed daily.

Mobile or landline, with or without the +44. The number is not stored.

Three checks a day without signing in, or 25 a day while signed in to a free TPSClear account.

13,467,441 numbers on the TPS register and 1,072,956 on the CTPS register. File dated 14 October 2026, reloaded daily.

What the result means

The TPS (Telephone Preference Service) lists individuals who have opted out of unsolicited marketing calls. The CTPS (Corporate TPS) lists corporate subscribers, so company lines, partnerships and public bodies. A listed number cannot be cold-called for marketing unless the person has told you otherwise. Clean means the number is on neither register on the file date shown.

New registrations take 28 days to apply, and the files are refreshed daily, so a number that is clean today should be checked again before it is called a month from now. More in how to check if a number is on the TPS.

Why three a day

Without signing in, this page checks three numbers a day: enough for a callback, a referral, a number someone handed you at an event. Sign in with your email and you get a free TPSClear account, and 25 checks a day while signed in. Teams that call at volume screen the whole CRM, with every new or changed number checked as it lands and re-checked inside the 28-day window. That is what the app and the API do. See how the services compare.

Who runs this check

Voll Studios Ltd, the company behind TPSClear, is licensed by the DMA as a TPS and CTPS list cleaner. The verdict comes from the TPS and CTPS register files supplied under that licence, loaded fresh each day.

Check every number in your CRM automatically

TPSClear screens contact and company numbers in HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho and Salesforce as they change, and the same engine is behind the REST API and Zapier.
